Dangerous woman! Jennifer Lawrence told a hilarious story about how she almost killed somebody on the set of upcoming film Passengers during a chat on The Graham Norton Show — simply by scratching her butt!
The outspoken 26-year-old actress explained that while filming Passengers in Hawaii, she and the rest of the cast — including co-star Chris Pratt — were instructed not to sit on nearby designated “sacred” rocks.
“You were not supposed to sit on them because you weren’t supposed to expose your genitalia to them,” she explained to the audience, adding that since she was wearing a wetsuit, she was allowed to perch on the boulders.
And perch she did. The Hunger Games star told the audience that she quickly noticed what a great combination wetsuits and rocks were when she began rubbing against the boulders. “Oh my God, they were so good for butt itchin’,” she said.
Unfortunately for Lawrence, however, her itching got a bit out of hand and endangered the life of one of the crew members.
“One rock that I was butt scratching on ended up coming loose, and it was a giant boulder and it rolled down this giant mountain and almost killed our sound guy,” she said. “His whole station got destroyed. It was this huge, dramatic deal.”
A flustered Lawrence soon saw humor in the incident, however. “All the Hawaiians were like, ‘Oh my God, it’s the curse!’ And I was sitting in the corner like, ‘Haha! I’m your curse! I wedged it loose with my a–!’”
Lawrence’s costar Pratt, 37, has similarly been having fun with promoting the film — though the funnyman has opted to get laughs at the actress’ expense. On Monday, November 28, the actor posted a selfie with only half of Lawrence’s face in the frame, jokingly captioning the shot: “Finally got that selfie with Jen y’all wanted.”
